Having recently celebrated its 75th anniversary, the Mount Auburn Cemetery is one of the country's oldest and most distinguished burial grounds. It also features one of the Boston area's premiere horticultural landscapes, as well as a museum. Visitors can attend guided tours of the grounds, on which they'll learn about Mount Auburn's unique history, plantlife, and even its various bird populations. It lies about four miles west of downtown Boston, next to Domenik Flipello Playground.
